Puppy Raiser Nancy
I have been a puppy raiser for 2 1/2 years, working with puppy #6 currently. I started thinking I would raise a puppy to honor my dad, a veteran. I’ve raised Andy, Jude, Coup, Indy, Conradt and now Sir. It is hard to give the pup back to go in to their prison training, (I love them like my own dog) but I know in my soul the prisoners lives are changed then a person's life that is needing my dog is changed. It is an honor to participate with the Brigadoon program.

New sounds! New sights! I'm tuckered out!
Little Sugar has been with her puppy raiser for 3 days, and already she's gone to an Everett AquaSox baseball game! Of course, she's still a puppy, so there's also been lots of cuddles, napping, and playing with toys!

Sir is growing up!
Sir is learning down stays. He is doing amazing!

Mother and Son
Sebastian and Zenyatta had a mini-reunion when Sebastian and his puppy raisers stopped by the 10th Annual Paws and Claws Expo!

Look! Jam!
Hondo went grocery shopping for cake supplies and practiced walking closely by his puppy raiser while she pushed the grocery cart.
This is a challenge, since it requires the dog to move out of their regular heel position and go behind the cart with their handler. He did very well!
