Catching Up with the Brigadoon Pups

Thanks to your support, 2025 was a huge year for training and placing life-changing service dogs! Here are a few updates on where our pups and newly graduated teams are now:  

Graduated Teams

Team Vesper & Hope: Graduated Fall 2025. Hope provides mobility and PTSD assistance. She represented Brigadoon in interviews, presentations, and community outreach.

Team Mia & Polaris: Graduated Summer 2025 as Mia's successor service dog. Po provides mobility and other assistance, and sired service dog candidate Danny. 

Team Michael & Rusty: Graduated December 2025. Rusty provides PTSD assistance. He was hosted by Guide Dogs of America as a short-term breeder and sired Archie, Juju, and Sunny.

Team Shawn & Sparkle: Graduated Fall 2025. Sparkle is Shawn's successor service dog and represented Brigadoon at demos and office events. 

Team Jessica & Benjamin: Graduated December 2025. Ben provides mobility and psychiatric assistance. He supported community outreach with his notably friendly nature.

Team Molly & Star: Star transferred in Fall 2025 to Atlas Assistance Dogs as a successor candidate for Molly. 

Pups in Training & Breeding Program

• Phoenix: Selected as a Brigadoon breeder; welcomed her first litter of seven in August 2025 (including Emmy, Paxton, and Ruby).  

• Banjo: Began advanced training in Fall 2025 and spent the year rotating between prison programs and volunteer homes.  

• Yume: Entering advanced training this winter after whelping a puppy while hosted by Joys of Living Assistance Dogs.  

• Burnaby & Molly: Both began advanced training in early 2026.  

• Louie & Journey: Currently training with handlers at Coyote Ridge and Stafford Creek Corrections Centers after completing health clearances.

Each of these dogs have such a bright future as a life-changing partner, part of a service dog team.
